Alley Marsh
Chief Happiness Officer
"You're too loud, too emotional, and care about your job too much."

She is a Talent and People Partner who believes work is never just about work — it's about how people feel, grow, and show up. She focuses on building cultures where there is true psychological safety, pushing the businesses she works in to be better than the status quo — to actually walk the talk of what they say they care about.
Her approach is intentionally human. She doesn't separate emotion from performance; she sees it as the driver of it. Where others might prioritise process, she pays attention to energy — what motivates people, what blocks them, and what makes teams actually thrive, not just function.
She has been told she is "too loud," but she uses her voice to challenge thinking and advocate for better. She has been told she is "too emotional," but that emotional intelligence is exactly what allows her to read a room, navigate complexity, and support people through change. She has been told she "cares too much" and "takes work too seriously," but for her, that care is the work — it's what creates environments where people do their best and most meaningful work.
She doesn't believe in toning it down. She believes in using it well.
