Christi du Toit
Multidisciplinary Graphic Designer & Illustrator
"You get too obsessed with weird hobbies."

Christi is a multidisciplinary graphic designer and commercial illustrator with a background rooted in alternative visual culture. Comic books, skateboard graphics, gig posters, album art, and anything and everything that felt a bit rough around the edges provided all the inspiration he could ever hope for. What started as a teenage fixation on figuring out how to create cool graphics quickly became a core skill and a lifelong habit of teaching himself how to make things, just to see if he could.
He tends to go all-in on whatever catches his interest. That means digging deep into tools, techniques, and styles, and sticking with them long enough to really understand how they work. Over time, that way of thinking has shaped how he approaches design as a whole. It's less about quick solutions and more about pulling ideas apart and building them back up in a more interesting and unexpected way.
He's been working professionally for over a decade since receiving his degree in visual communication, developing processes that balance structure with experimentation. His work often leans toward a hand-drawn feel, keeping some of the imperfections intact and humanising the final product rather than striving for an aesthetic that feels overly digital or machine-made.
These days, he works professionally with clients across the world, crafting bespoke illustration and design that still carries a bit of that original influence, even if only in the mindset and process.
