Clark Marchese

Clark grew up in Idaho, where the mountains that met his backyard stand a little too tall for most people there to look beyond them. He, however, did look beyond them; and now he lives in Paris -- which, for a kid from Idaho, is either the logical conclusion, proof of delusion, or a healthy mix of both.

He learned early that if he wanted something, he'd have to find his own way to it. He's the founder of Pine Forest Media, a digital ecosystem of science and environmental storytelling. He interviews experts and action-takers across disciplines, translates their work, and packages it into digital products that are accessible, entry-level yet nuanced, globally distributed, and remind us of our own collective agency. He also travels to and reports from international scientific and environmental policy conferences around the world -- not on a legacy media salary, but because he decided that was the job.

What he's really good at is building bridges between things one might not assume are connected. He is also really good at project management and reverse engineering a pathway toward whatever unachievable goal was his starting point.
